-Sweet Dreams-
The term “Succah” for our huts is borrowed from the bible, as a symbol of bonding to nature, transience and creativity, and expresses the spirit of the place.
Each hut is built out of local stone, wood and consumable materials, and is named after a different member of the biblical Abraham’s family.
At Succah in the Desert we offer eight private huts for guests. The huts are scattered in the wadi and the hills around, about 150m apart for ultimate privacy and quiet.
The huts are suitable to the desert weather – warm in winter and cool in summer. Every hut has its own unique architecture to fit the nature it is built on, ranging from sizes suitable from one person to twelve people.
Each Succah is equipped with comfortable beds, bedding, solar lighting, a fresh water jug, an indoor and outdoor seating area, a stove-top for preparing hot beverages (no cooking inside the huts) and a heater for keeping warm in the winter.
The huts are decorated in a calm desert atmosphere, while preserving sustainability. Most of the elements are hand – crafted.
The stay at the Succah has a pleasant homey, safe and relaxed ambience. For an upgraded and handicap accessible desert experience, our newest succah, “Eliezer”, is equipped with a kitchenette, adjoined toilet, a power outlet and regular height beds.
